MEET KELLY O'LOANE, APRN

Are you ready to take the next step in your mental health journey?

As an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, I have completed two Master's degrees, one in family practice and the other in psychiatric mental health. I have passed national board certification in both specialties.

While working in family practice I realized that the majority of my patients also had mental health ailments. Many times these lined up with their physical ailments and I understood that there was a connection between the two systems that we were not addressing. In order to best help my patients, I returned to school to gain more education and training. After passing my board certification as a PMHNP, I started to focus on this area and I went on to complete a Fellowship at The Queen's Medical Center in Oahu, Hawaii. While there I continued my education through weekly didactics with many of the wonderful nurse practitioners as well as physicians at the John A. Burns School of Medicine and The Queens Medical System.

Currently I am in private practice and working with clients who desire to make changes in their life to achieve their best state of physical and mental health. Change is never easy but if you are tired of not feeling "good", contact me and let's see what we can do to help you take back your power and renew your sense of fulfillment.

MY STORY

Growing up in a family full of counselors and psychiatrists certainly doesn't make one immune from experiencing the difficulties of mental health management. It does help with the development of coping skills and the knowledge of how easily those skills are forgotten in times of crisis. Basically, I'm saying that I get it! I understand the ups and downs of life.

Over the years I have worked to educate myself on components that have an effect on our mental AND physical health. I am here to share with you the coping tools I have learned and help you learn how to use them as well. This is not an easy journey and I don't have the answers to hand you wrapped up with a beautiful bow. That's not what I wish for you either. What?! It's true, when we don't work things out for ourselves, there is no lesson and there are no gains. Ugh! Why does life have to be so hard? Well, it doesn't! A lot of times it is just how you look at the situation. Let’s learn to embrace the challenges and come out stronger than before.
